History


Since 1993 Eurotruss successfully implemented the first conical connection system which ultimately has proven to be the most important innovation in the truss market. After gaining and remaining the leading position worldwide in the lightweight truss market, Eurotruss has a wider range of aluminium truss systems covering all aspects of the industries requirements.

In order to coop with the structural growth without compromising the high quality standard we have set Eurotruss production facilities has expanded into 10.000 m2.

Eurotruss has chosen to adhere to the highest specifications with Aluminium, TuV, DNV and SLV Welding Verification for welding aluminium in order to provide a safe and quality product. Product Range


Eurotruss has a wide range of aluminium truss systems. Next to the lightweight truss system called FD, Eurotruss carriers ground support towers and bigger truss systems like XD, ST, FT and the pre rigg truss like XT and TT. The last few years Eurotruss supplied many roof systems from 80m2 till 400m2.

Eurotruss also manufacture and sell Wind Up Stands, Euro-Lift, and Barriers. Next to all those products Eurotruss sells traded goods like manual (Yale) and electrical chain hoist (CM lodestar, Verlinde and Chainmaster). Dealers

About Prosound

Prosound (Pty) Ltd was established in 1973 , providing hardware and services for the live events industry, and was the leading sound rental company doing the largest proportion of the top touring shows both local and international, sports events and embryonic outside broadcast television productions. Prosound embarked on a policy of sourcing well-made, conservatively engineered products and then adapting them to suit the African operational and environmental standards and conditions.

The 80's were a decade of expansion for the company. A branch was established in Durban in 1984. Through the 80's, the company became the premier contractor for sound and communication systems in Southern Africa. A close relationship with consultants was developed and is still maintained through an attitude of care for specification, budgets and timeous completion of works. Skills developed led to the majority of works now being "design / build" or turnkey.

Throughout the 90's, Prosound has consolidated its growth and professionalism. Systems Engineering and Installations is a separate entity with skills, unique and extensive, in the design and engineering of sound systems. Sales and distribution is a central department of trained consultants.

Theatre and Architectural Lighting was established in 1997 as a division of Prosound and to date has completed many prestigious projects both Theatrical and Architectural.
During the last decade Prosound has also supplied and or installed many aluminium and staging solutions for:

New Eurotruss Products on Prolight & Sound 2012

New Products presented on the Prolight & Sound 201 ...

During the Prolight & Sound we have presented new products to the world. The first new product is the Eurotruss CWT Truss, originally designed as a Catwalk Truss but redesigned to a multi versatile heavy load catwalk truss. The second new product is the Eurotruss RTS Truss, originally designed as a foldable and stackable truss system which carries the moving heads permanently. The RTS Truss is the new versatile truss structure which can be used to carry moving heads. It saves not only trucking space but also guarantees less set up time and labor.

All the new products can be found in the Exhibition Magazine ´E-Motion´ (Eurotruss in Motion). We have added the PDF of this Magazine in the download section of the website or you can view it online here. If you require a hard copy, please send us your request and we will make sure you get a few copies!

Eurotruss also upgraded its total Roof package. Before we used to design Roof Systems based on the product out of our range. We recognized that our customer base have a particular request for shape, size and load bearing capacity. Due to this different approach and the fact that the regulations and norms have been changed in 2011, we have decided to classify our Roof Systems as following:

Arc, Saddle and Pitch Roofs

Three various shapes: Arc, Saddle and Pitch Roof listed as AR- , SR- and PR Roofs. The next classification is a number 10-20-30 up to 50which stands for the size of the roof. For instance the AR-10 is the smallest ARC Roof and the AR-30 is the biggest ARC Roof. Depending on the size and the loading the best product has been selected to be used in that truss.

The new regulation and norms are based on a structural calculation that all walls are closed with full PVC Canopy which has a higher restricting wind force than the standard gaze. The new norms are taking worst case scenario which we adapt and prefer. Safety is absolutely our priority. As Eurotruss found a way to have all roofs calculated according the new norms, the price for structural reports on name has been reduced heavily in price.

Naturally Eurotruss still will and can make any customized roof shape and size!.

First gig with Sting for Eurotruss new MT Pro Roof ...

Sting and his impressive orchestra of 50 members visited Bucharest for his third concert in Romania. The concert is part of his European tour Symphonicity and was held on Monday June 6th. No need to say that, size-wise and in terms of load capacity, the MT Pro Roof could easily comply with all the necessary requirements that belong to a symphonic tour of this large scale. The Eurotruss roof and stage arrived on Friday June 3rd at the Constitution Square (Piata Constitutiei) and was being prepared for the concert (see pictures). More gigs will follow.
